Hi Yusei,
Thank you very much. I installed erp5_core_proxy_field_legacy and now
the portal_categories looks fine. However...
I can now add some categories. But pretty soon I'm no longer able to
modify the category IDs. Screenshot:

This is a brand new "Appliance Buildout", built by following the
instructions to the letter. But because adding an ERP5 site caused a
Site Error - Attribute Error/timer_service, I enabled the
configuration "enable-product-installation" in my zope.conf as
recommended by Gabriel Monnerat.
I feel this problem may have to do with the load balancing not working
properly. But how to diagnose or fix this is way over my head.
(It really feels like I'm swimming against the tide. But I do believe
that there's a beautiful beach behind the surf :-)
