However, here is a quick reply:
    - ERP5 Express is not (yet) suitable for manufacturing. ERP5 Express
focuses on CRM, trade and finance. ERP5 Enterprise is the appropriate
solution for manufacturing in most cases. Refer to

    - as with most ERPs, EDI interfacing with ERP5 is usually achieved
through a combination of configuration in ERP5 and purchase of standard
3rd party EDI messaging software. This is the usual way unless it is
more profitable to implement specific EDI format handling within ERP5
(ex. high volume). The reason for this situation is that there are
hundreds if not thousands of EDI formats which evolve all the time.
    - regarding custom developments, I agree that for manufacturing,
local support is much better but I can not suggest anyone in the US
whose prices are compatible with a small manufacturer. The only solution
currently would be to have you remotely supported from abroad. This can
be an acceptable solution only if your requirements are quite simple.
