Please first read all documents described here:
http://www.erp5.org/TranslationHowto
this includes:
http://www.erp5.com/developer-Translation.HowTo/view
http://www.erp5.com/developer-Translation.Crimes/view
http://www.erp5.com/developer-Translation.Best.Practices/view
http://www.erp5.com/developer-How.To.Test.Translation/view
This is a tentative to formalize the process. The purpose of the glossary is to let other translators in a team know which reference terms you have chosen and why. This way, if they translate another module with Localizer, they refer to the glossary and can understand your choice. Else, it is hard to know. Using glossary will also lead to refining the English glossary itself, and improve the documentation of the definition of all base properties in ERP5.
You could for example start with the glossary related to accounting.
Next, review that all translations you did for accounting are based on those terms. Since you did translation mostly alone, it should be consistent.

Besides you, nobody requested to have this synchronization features. Everyone seems happy to work online in "wiki style". So I prefer to improve documentation than add this feature. But I understand it could be useful for you. So, as I suggested, please feel free to implement this synchronization feature (using ERP5SyncML ideally) and contribute it (ie. send a patch to me).
Glossary is part of erp5_forge (http://svn.erp5.org/erp5/trunk/bt5/erp5_forge)

JPS.
