Some work is probably need on this translation so that it includes a glossary as described in the translation howto (http://www.erp5.org/TranslationHowto). The glossary is an important part of a translation to define a common base of terms. We have it in all other localisations.

We don't understand what does mean the phrase " we did GOT GET permission"
so decided to remind that Nexedi has been granted the permission to use
russian translation made by Raskon starting from March 2009. This is
confirmed by mailing thread between Jean Paul and me and attached to this
letter.

P.S. Jean-Paul, could you please use the traditional mailing client until
ERP5 does not work correctly with threads.

Best regards,
    Boris Kocherov

Hi,

Just to let you know that we started checking your patches and at
least some of them are good.

Thank you.

BTW, you did not reply about russian translation. Can we include it in
our repos?

Regards,

JPS.

You certainly can take any code from raskon public repository. But there
are two issues. First is about further two way synchronisation as we continue
changing the translation files and the Second is about lack of bt/revision
files.

I understand. For now, I just want to make a copy or, better, set an
external svn repository link if it exists.

You can see that:
https://www.raskon.org/hg/raskon/erp5_l10n_ru/file/4b1e72e5bc66/bt
revision file is missing in this directory.
Mercurial extension https://www.raskon.org/hg/raskon/erp5_gen_revision/ generates bt/revision
files.
In this case generated bt/revision contains string (not integer).

More details can be found in
http://mail.nexedi.com/pipermail/erp5-dev/2009-February/002209.html .

Hi,

I understand. I like both ideas actually (your and current way).

If we follow your idea, what happens to people who do not use a
revision control system ?

JPS.

I have already installed rsync server. Rsync server is used for building/updating erp5
through buildout
https://www.raskon.org/hg/aclark/erp5-buildout/file/e77a9162c76f/buildout.cfg#l32 .
IMHO it is the fastest solution for upgrading ERP5 now.
That do you think about updating BuisnessTemplates through rsync?
