[Erp5-users] Brazilian community (was: Installation on Ubuntu)

  From begining...

  Since 2003?, Nexedi and IFF (CEFET Campos) has a partnership into  
academic field, many scientific articles came from this. And also, 3  
persons were hired from IFF already, and recently a IFF student create  
Cloudooo to replace oood.

  Last year, IFF, decided by himself to publish ERP5 into Portal do  
Software Público Brasileiro (http://www.softwarepublico.gov.br), and I  
was invited to lead initially the Brazillian community with Professor  
Rogério, because I did almost all pt-Br contributions, I always lived  
in Brazil and they felt right have Nexedi help.

  Nexedi agreeded to have ERP5 official Brazillian community into  
Software Público and we had accept the Portal rules for community  
creation and management and you can check into the portal (portuguese  
only sorry). For ERP5, it is an excelent way to get new contributors.  
Personally, I really beleave into Software Público in a way to promote  
Free Software and how they try to make technology available to  
Brazilian people.

  FYI, Software Público is a very seriuos brazillian governament  
initiative created by Brazil's Ministry of Planning. They promote Open  
Source in a diferent way and require complete registration before  
participate to the community (their rules).

  ERP5 BR is the community name, and it plans to provide PT-BR i10n,  
translate training materials and later develop extensions which are  
only relevant to Brazil, like "Nota Fiscal Eletrônica" or integration  
with Brazillian Tax Systems for example.

  I already announced it into erp5-brazil, I didn't mail to erp5-dev  
or erp5-users because I though it was not so relevant to everybody  
only to brazillians, was I wrong?

  Currently Brazillian community has 3300+ member, you can check at  
http://softwarepublico.gov.br front page. There is already good  
contributions related to translations of trainning materials and  
pt-br.po which have been published into Software Publico first (later  
we are going to copy contributions back to erp5.com).
