[Erp5-users] Generic Installation Howto/Requirements

Hello,

In Ventis we deployed ERP5 in LinuxVserver guests, which are running on
MDK2006.0. The only problem was to create minimal targzipped image of
system, which was made after installing MDK2006.0 onto desktop and then
coping it into guest system. Runs fine - but keep in mind, that some
restrictions, which virtualization may apply (I do not know Xen at
all) might to be polished.

After you got running minimal MDK in 2006 or above in guest you only
need to follow instructions from http://www.erp5.org/DownloadRpm - it
works. Some information is available on ERP5 Handbook on wikibooks.

It is possible to install ERP5 from source, but some of ERP5/Zope
experience is needed, so I'll suggest to install it in MDK 2006 or
above environment.
