Yes. ERP5 is running on Zope server, which serves content via HTTP. You 
need to install modern browser on client machines - like FireFox. So - 
ERP5 is supposed to be accessed remotely.

Just put LiveCD with ERP5, then follow steps written on wiki:

Of course follow rest of ERP5 wiki documentation. Many issues with ERP5 
was discussed on mailing list. Acceptable way to access search able 
archives is possible using gname system:
  * erp5-users http://news.gmane.org/gmane.comp.python.zope.erp5.general
  * erp5-dev http://news.gmane.org/gmane.comp.python.zope.erp5.devel
