I'd do one of the two things:

a) Create a group for each organisation, assign this organisation and 
all of its suborganisation to the same group, and distinguish 
organisation from a suborganisation by another property ("role", perhaps?)

b) Establish a category-based relation between organisation and 
suborganisation - maybe a new base category (like "parent"), maybe one 
of existing categories within the ERP5 data model will do - "aggregate", 
for example.
