Hi Vicente,

Well I'm not sure what to try now. I gave over a whole laptop with 20
Gig raw HD for the LiveCD to format & use - so could it still be a
shortage of space?

Yes the root password works - I can use the desktop or quit to text
screen - create users & set passwords. However, I still can not start
erp5 - no user or password combination (even blank from a re-boot) seems
to work!

Problem is, my idea was to see if erp5 was a viable alternative to
Compiere for the cash strapped business I work for. As it stands now -
not even being able to access the LiveCD does not leave me with any
confidence, either my capabilities(!) or the software's... I think it's
still far too early in the development life or just plain too high-brow
for my level of user...

Thanks for trying anyway - maybe in another five years we'll on the
look-out again.

Woodelf's now frustrated and a little disappointed - is that better than
sad ? :-(
