CPS was chosen because

	- at the core of CPS3, there is a Proxy feature which is essential in the
area of e-commerce (for example, building multiple catalogs out of a single
product base, with different roles and responsabilities) and e-government
(multiple reviews for a single document published in different sections).
This Proxy feature is what makes CPS3 quite unique and much better than
most other CMS (even famous proprietary CMS systems).

	- CPS is currently the leader in Zope based e-governement from a market
size (ie. M€) point of view and there are many synergies between
e-government and ERP market.

	- CPS benefits from a stable financing through Nuxeo and wide commercial
support through large service companies such as Unilog, Cap Gemini, etc.

Plone integration would probably be very easy and quite useful for the Plone
community. Some people have already started thinking about integrating
Plone and ERP5. It is likely that some kind of integration should appear at
some point. I also think that there must be something worth to do with
Silva from an integration point of view with ERP5.

Also, many Zope products designed for ERP5 can be useful outside ERP5:
ERP5Catalog, ERP5SyncML, CMFCategory, CMFActivities, etc.
