The core is designed for multi-user scenario. It is tested  for multi-user scenario
in the context of customer specific processes. You are welcome to contribute
more tests if you think it is useful. 

Maybe you should ask the same question on the zope mailing list too.

Before proceeding to further dicussion, it would be good to know if the problem
still exists with http://svn.erp5.org/erp5/release/5.4.6/ and http://svn.erp5.org/erp5/trunk/buildout/

The best way for that is to write a test which fails in your current environment
and see what happens with a recent version of trunk.
