FYI though I have a number of years of Linux software integration
behind me,<br>
ERP / CRM is a new venture for me. The company I work for has just had
the<br>
support for their existing legacy and I must say archaic ERP system
discontinued.<br>

So I have been appointed to find a product that is going to meet there
needs and be able to grow.<br>
<br>
If this project goes well, there are a couple of other companies using
the same legacy product that could benefit.<br>
<br>
I have looked at a few products including Compiere, but he Oracle
dependance is a drawback in my oppinion.<br>
<br>
I would much rather commit time and resource to something we can "own"
and contribute to as well, not be at the<br>
mercy of a money magnet with forced upgrades and the like.<br>
<br>
Ok, say I hit the wall? Some quirky bug I must get fixed and I can't
nail it.<br>
Is there pay per incident support available?<br>

BTW the downloading the LIVE CD torrent is a real pain! Please guys!!
I hate having to wait 4 days to get an .iso when I have 10Mb of
bandwidth and could have it in 10 minutes.<br>

When I get it I will mirror it for others who want it quick (as long as
I can afford to).<br>

The rumor that MySQL is not ACID compliant is based on very, very old
information, like 10 years ago. PostgreSQL has its own goodness, but MySQL
performs far better for ERP5.
