Hi,

Yes, it is possible using erp5_crm. You can follow this steps:

1- Configure MailHost
2- Install erp5_crm
3- Create a Person or Organisations with email
4- Go to event module and create Mail Message
5- Fill information, save and Post(workflow)

Notes that you need a mailserver for it.

Sorry for the not so described steps, but I think you can do.
