I could install some templates but not the ERP5 Groupware.
The method I used is the same with other templates.
With ERP5 Groupware, I failed at the very beginning: Upload Template.

The template ERP5 Groupware that I downloaded is very small, 150KB. 
I think it was downloaded OK since I could gunzip and untar it (after
renamed the extension).
I gunzip and untar just for testing the file itself after downloading.
When I "Upload Template", I used the exac file as I got from the website
like with other templates.

Here is the message I got when I tried to Upload the template ERP5
Groupware:

I have LiveCD RC8.
