[Erp5-dev] business template

This is a note about one issue in business templates.

The current implementation of Business Template is all-or-nothing. That
is, whether you install everything in a template into your system or
abandon the template completely. This is not good, because sometimes
you want to install part of a template (such as "all but this
workflow"). And, this is related to how to upgrade and manage many
business templates.

If there is a skin with the same name, this won't be so important,
because customized skins should be stored in a sub-folder, and you can
make sure that locally modified skins have priority in the properties
of portal_skins.

If there is a base category with same name, this will be serious. The
choices could be these:

1. Overwrite the existing one.
2. Replace the existing one.
3. Install the new one with a different name.
4. Rename the existing one and install the new one.
5. Do not install the new one.

I don't think this can be automatically (mechanically) determined. So I
think it would be better to provide a user interface with which the
user can choose how to install (or not to install) new documents.
